When You're Feeling argumentative

When conflict and contention fill your heart, seek the Lord's peace and wisdom.

"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."

— Proverbs 15:1

God calls us to respond with gentleness rather than harshness. Soft words can defuse conflict and bring peace.

"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone."

— Romans 12:18

We are called to be peacemakers, doing our part to live in harmony with others while trusting God with what we cannot control.

"Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."

— Colossians 4:6

Our words should reflect God's grace. Even in disagreement, we can speak with wisdom and kindness.

A Prayer for You

Lord, calm my argumentative spirit. Give me wisdom to know when to speak and when to be silent. Help me to pursue peace and to reflect Your grace in all my interactions. Amen.
